There was an arson attack at KyoAni today (I am typing this at july 18th 2019, 4:00 PM AEST) and while it's still a developing story, there's been confirmed fatalities and many, many injuries.

Here's a link to the gofundme to support the victims and their families. It was set up by a licensing company that's worked with KyoAni in the past.
