This is honestly the only way I can accurately describe watching this movie as an adult pokemon fan.
I feel like I have to state this once a month, but it’s really uncool how often people jokingly use the word “triggered.”
people I went to cosmetology school constantly threw around the word triggered for no reason. “We have to do braids today? oh my God I’m so triggered” after a month of it I cracked and snapped st one of them that ptsd isn’t a joke and they needed to stop being so insensitive. My classmates immediately ganged up on me to call me mean and “too serious” and say things like “why are you so mad it’s just slang” yet no one could tell me what it was slang for.
After berating me for calling them out, they doubled down on it and continued to use the word triggered to mean “I find this to be inconvenient” or to make fun of people having emotions.
in therapy, when I do go, I cannot bring myself to use the word trigger. therapists use it constantly but I can’t force myself to say it. Because the world around me has made it an embarrassing joke. I cannot talk about things that actually literally trigger my ptsd in the context of treatment, but thank god the wannabe instagram influencers of the world are comfortable using it constantly as a joke.
“Master Criminal”
This is the conclusion to the episode where he says “Let’s fill Moomin Valley with crime!”
