Okay, it’s been 9 months since I ever posted a video and all these videos are still in bad quality but you know what, I don’t care anymore. Sat in a dark room for 2 hours just trying to get this up already so here it is! The rarest line Phoenix will ever say when he screws up on a puzzle.

There’s something hilarious about Phoenix attempting to ask Cracker the parrot to state his name and profession. (Before Barnham interrupts with the medieval equivalent of “WTF is this,” anyway.)
(PL vs AA spoilers ahead)
So with Layton apparently transmuted and Maya burned alive, Phoenix is an utter mess, and Espella is still pretty scared, so what happens? Luke—little Luke—suddenly steps up to become the emotional rock of the trio. There’s no way he’s not scared and grieving, but he doubles down and puts on his brave, cheerful face because they all need to get to safety and then investigate to get to the truth.
This is actually not the first time he’s displayed this kind of courage—look at the end of Azran Legacy. He still melts down like a little kid sometimes, of course, but he’s developed an ability to face truly dire situations with a more-or-less clear head.
The professor would be so proud of him.
