It snowed 8-14 inches where i live (the news is rather scattered on the actual amount) and the power went out. I spent the entire day reading manga (and finally got around to reading the first three volumes of fullmetal alchemist) so naturally i drew some Yonkoma about the day.
As soon as the power gets back im making spagetti and nobody can stop me.
I think all of us, at some point in our lives, take comfort in fictional characters, relate to them, and they help us feel better and more at ease with ourselves (this is also slightly related to fictionkin but thats a post for another day….)
with that in mind, i decided to make this post:

Randall Ascot gives you a smile. It’s hard for him to do it, but he knows he and you can both smile together.
Desmond Sycamore/Jean Descole is right behind you, about to pounce on you, kidnap you, whisk you off in his cape to a soft chair. He’s gonna play the piano for you and tell you bad jokes in an attempt to cheer you up (he’s been practicing his jokes with Raymond, so he’s feeling confident!)

I made this dumb faust meme like a month ago
It became my top post overnight. Hundreds of reblogs.
This piece of my Apprentice took me four hours and was tagged all to hell.
Not even a third of the notes are reblogs.
Not to hijack OP’s post, but this is a serious issue. I’m glad people like my work and other artists” work enough to like the piece, but liking it doesn’t engage a wider audience or make it visible where even MORE users can enjoy it.
Even popular fandom artists like @junkpilestuff and @lazyvoyager have these beautiful pieces with a seemingly high number of notes
But looking through the list of notes on each of the above pieces they’re almost exclusively— Likes. To the point where you see a pattern of the artist reblogging their own art because not enough people are seeing it.
I always make time to post, maintain, and reblog my own art, but as an artist and fellow member of this community, I also take the time to reblog other artists’ work, because I know that struggle. And even if you don’t know that struggle, if you think it’s pretty, reblog it!
It costs zero dollars to help Tumblr artists get visibility.
Omg i was surprised of this tag, and yeah reblogs are nice! It increases visibility.
But to clear things up, i usually reblog my own stuff from time to time because i saw it again on my notes (either someone rbing or liking it) and liked/surprised on how it looked again after a long while, so i’d like to have it on top of my blog again XD;;;;;;;;
Regardless, i am glad that people looked at my stuff, liking or reblogging! I appreciate it very much.
But if you want to support new artists, reblogging helps! Personally i like reblogs because i love the cute tags people sometimes type up X3
