A collection of PL character realizing they have a problem
Descole fans, I’ve got good news for you
If you’re one of those people who wish Descole existed, then buckle up you’re in for a ride
You know how Descole’s got this weird but epicly awesome look:
Well I always thought, “gee, that reminds me of something but I can’t find what”
Then later, I remembered a 1979 opera movie I’d seen as a kid, called Don Giovanni, and sure enough, this lot appears:

So then I started browsing Venetian Carnival costumes per something my grandma said about one day taking me to the Carnival of Venice (a costume lover’s absolute dream)
And after a few hours of browsing I started falling on this kind of stuff:

Well played Level 5, well played, that’s a very interesting use of costume for a mysterious character’s design.
I actually really started looking for these when @magiciancelemis posted a costume on one of her tumblr blogs (the ask descole one, I think). I’ll try finding it and add the pic in reblog. In the meanwhile, I’ll let you Descofans feast your eyes on this discovery with these other pics I found as well:

ALSO, while we’re on the topic of Venetian carnival costumes, I made a discovery.
You know how no one sees Descole’s eyes behind his mask and all, right?
And yet, we’ve been shown that there is NOTHING underneath the mask hiding them:
It’s just a mask!
Now look at this pic VERY CAREFULLY:

With attention to detail, you’ll be able to see the wearer’s eyes.
Descole just uses a technique used with Venetian masks where there is enough space between the mask and the eyes to create shadow hiding the eyes from view.
Solved it!
Btw, after seeing this, you can bet your crazy fan brains that I am making myself a Venetian Carnival style Descole cosplay when I go to the Carnival of Venice with my grandma
Descole is my favorite from PL because he’s a snazzy dude who wears a sheep on his neck which makes him look kinda like a lion
