young blackquill and young athena have secret codes to try and find each other in the giant space center like simon will get worried about where athena is and he’ll just go “caw caw” or some sort of hawk noise and then. down the hall a tiny voice echos “peep peep” and he just smiles cause that means athena’s there somewhere and safe and they have this baby bird and mama bird thing that they do to keep tabs on each other
