Interesting facts about Future London
…which are noted by the Layton crew throughout the game and taken from the game in general.
A) Basic stuff that is noteworthy
-Future London probably has its own coal-fired power station at the laboratory.

-It has a train system, including the possibility to purchase monthly passes (as stated by Clive, who has one.)
-There aren’t many roads to drive on, actually. Except in the area around the hotel, you actually have to walk everywhere because narrow passageways and stairs block the way.
-Only the family actually has cars, which are all of the same type.
-There are people who actively run a fake London Times newspaper knockoff. Which is pretty impressive. Do they come up with stories about the political situation of the world of the future? Is it fun filling twenty pages with fake news?
-The water of the “thames“ is dirty. Probably because of the laboratory complex.
-Chinatown was either planned or developed itself in this shape and form, forming an interesting subculture inside of a subculture.
-There seems to be health care available at the hospital–so there must be doctors as well.
-The gilded seven casino is full of rich people, so workers can’t be the only ones that Dimitri and Clive smuggled down there. Maybe they used a method similar to the Eternal Life hoax to get rich people to join them down there.
-The gilded seven, the thames arms, and the public transport are ran by Clive and thus are probably the source of money to go to.
-There is a type of fish seen by Layton in the thames that is not native to the area.
-There must be a supplier’s tunnel somewhere. My guess btw is, that there is another, more effective entrance to Future London. Probably connected to the laboratory district, leading to the outskirts of actual london, it would make it possibly to transport the recourses (and people) down there.
-There is a second office above Dimitri’s.
B) Hints that it was fake
-Deserted areas.
If you look at it, there aren’t actually a lot of people living in Future London, at least they are not out on the streets. A lot of houses are probably just empty facades, but people don’t bother because lots of people probably prefer staying indoors at times like that.
-Clima.
Though there seems to be a system for air conditioning, the air is describes as humid, bad, there is no wind and it’s hot. The bad air probably comes from the power station, and it’s self-explanatory why there is no wind. This also explains the strange vegetation: All plants look low-key like from a jungle, and moss is rather prominent.
-The freaking clocktower reaching into the ceiling
-Feeling nauseous after traveling between times since the air pressure changes rapidly
