This really butters my biscuits, and I want to say something about it. It’s okay to dislike/not ship a couple the entire community adores, and I’m specifically targeting BFB for this. You aren’t obligated to ship a popular couple(s) within the fandom, you’re allowed to like (and dislike) whatever you want, as long as you’re having fun and you arent actively attacking someone for having an opinion/liking that differs from yours.
Shipping characters is meant to be fun. Not assaulting someone just because they don’t ship what you do.
Like. It’s okay if you don’t ship 4x. You see them as friends?? siblings??? Cool. Hell, rivals?? That’s saucy. Romantic partners? Have fun.
It’s sad as fuck to see this community become so rabid and hateful towards anyone that doesn’t ship 4x. The ship isn’t a god sent gift to the community. Let people do what they want. No ones getting hurt because people don’t ship 4 and x. Just leave them be. As long as it’s not hurting anyone, let them express themselves and contribute their own stuff to the fandom, and last time I checked, it’s not hurting anyone.

The Johto Elite Four & Champion in the Pokemon Gold Spaceworld 1997 Demo
According to the information that was datamined, instead of the line-up of Will, Koga, Bruno, Karen and Lance that we original got as the Generation 2 Elite Four & Champion.
We could’ve gotten Giovanni, Bruno, Misty, and Lorelei as the Elite Four, and Lance as the Champion.
I can’t believe we missed out on Misty and Giovanni being Elite Four members!!
This what the line up could have looked like, and imagine the story complications with Giovanni.
We could’ve had an Ground, Fighting, Water, Ice Elite Four.
