“I have ideas that on the weekends she really enjoys doing really random art installations. I kinda see her like on Santa Monica Promenade, blending in with a tree and not blinking, like standing there for a reaaallly long time, and somebody would be like ‘Peridot’ and she’d be like ‘SHHHH. I’m busy right now.”

In Shelby’s response to what Peridot would do on the weekends in the new SU podcast ep, here’s Peridot being a tree + a bonus Homer Simpson hedge meme @pearl-likes-pi

What happens when you search “Layton” on CafePress.com

detective-kat

So like any average PL fan, whenever I stumble across a new online store where you can order custom products (Etsy, Redbubble, Storenvy, etc), I naturally search “Professor Layton,” just to see what kind of cool fan-made merch I might be able to find and drool over.

It was no different when I discovered Cafepress.com. “Professor Layton” didn’t come up with much, but “Layton” did. The results were not related to our favorite gentleman; rather, they were all in reference to the Layton last name in general (for people to wear to family reunions and such), as well as the town of Layton in the state of Utah. When seen through the eyes of a PL fan, a lot of them are really silly, especially when you imagine the Layton crew wearing them! I have complied some of my favorites (tap/right click and open in new tabs to enlarge):

I am sorely tempted to buy all one of these. Feel free to add others that you find!

call-me-rucy

Hershel has the “Layton dad” one, Al has the “Of course I’m awesome I’m a Layton” one and Kat has the “Proud to be a Layton”, and no one can convince me otherwise. Al wore his exactly twice, and Kat wears hers all the time when she’s alone at home.

Flora got them all these for Christmas one year and you cannot convince me otherwise.

hershel was opening the present hoping for a book about dinos but got a huge pile of these shirts. he was still happy anyways

But what if the green dino shirt (in the bottom row) was on top of the pile? At least it would be something dino related! :D

So I was laying in bed the other night, thinking about Tolkien mythology (as one does around midnight) and wondering, why does half-elf and half-orc always assume the other half is human? Given that within Tolkien lore, the orcs came from the tortured and demented forms of the elves, (since Melkor didnt have the power to create his own race of beings, and corrupted the elves;) technically, wouldn’t elves and orcs be able to, you know, *swears nervously* make kids?
So anyways, here’s a half orc half elf girl. I might redraw her, I was going to add an underbite with fangs but I forgot ^^“
This was just a quick sketch tho, so its rather messy…….
