I’d like to think that Lapis would like to surf
My teacher had us write a story for an assignment, please let me know what you think of it!
Anger. And sorrow. That’s all I feel now. They came and destroyed everything. They don’t care. Humans never do. My home is almost gone. They tore up the earth as they came through, now only my bedchamber remains. They’re always out there, day and night, so I can never get any sleep. I’ve tried burrowing deeper, but it never helps. I’ve hardly been outside they came, and if it weren’t for an underground spring and some plants I can get to through a crack in the rocks above me, I’d be dead. Not that I’m constantly starving anyways. The day before they came, I received a message from my sister. She would be coming out to visit me. The day after the humans came. I heard it. I heard it and was powerless to stop it. My sister’s gone. I might be following her soon. My wings constantly ache from lack of use and scraping them on rocks. My claws are dull. Too dull to continue digging. Too dull to hunt. Lack of real food has left me weak. I’m helpless. If they find me, I won’t even be able to fight.
