Miles Edgeworth could literally break a limb and power on bc he “needs to uphold the law! There is no time for anything else!” One of the reasons to this being that he has an unusually high pain tolerance due to his years of dealing with being beaten around by the people around him— he’s used to Franziska’s whip, no matter how surprising it is for him every time she whips him.
Alternatively if someone else were to attempt to power on after being hurt, he’ll scold them. He could have a broken arm and be standing in court but if he finds out that Phoenix came to court with a cold he’ll make a pissed face for the entirety of the trial and loudly admonish Phoenix afterwards.
There’s Miles who makes another trail so he can find his way back and retrieve Signal Red.
There’s Phoenix who finds the dog food, realizes what Miles did, and waits for him.
There’s Larry who returns, trying to be nonchalant, but carrying three umbrellas with him for all of them because it had been raining.
They are all so adorable.
