Man, the concepts for Hershel were- *cough* very um. Very. Y’know- 😳 I don’t think we would’ve survived if they had used it LOL he’s so hardcore oh myGos. H-
And I tried to show what Desmond would look like if he were in the crossover game hahha
i’ve talked before about how steven universe portrays steven as a sensitive, emotional, feminine boy, something that’s rare for children’s media to show and not have it be a character flaw or something to be mocked
i also think it’s pretty cool how most of his powers and abilities are for defence and healing, not for offensive combat. he has the shield and the bubble, and can heal things and create life. it’s a non-aggressive, non-combative powerset, and it’s not portrayed as being useless or in any way lesser than the characters who have more offensive weapons and abilities. it really helps to underscore the theme of the series that you can solve problems not always with fighting (though sometimes that is needed) but with more peaceful methods
