My favorite movie.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone bring up this perspective, so I thought I’d talk about it. From what I’ve seen, when people see Montgomery’s room and how it’s damaged, they dismiss it as Montgomery being a violent and aggressive character. But I think there could be more to it then that.
To me, the scratching around the door seems incredibly suspicious. It seems like there was a fight or struggle in Montys room, and the scratches around the door frame is someone’s attempt at not being dragged out of the room. There are far more scratches around the door then there are on the door. And the only scratches on the door are at the end that it doesn’t open from, so it’s unlikely that it was that they were trying get into the side room. We also don’t know what’s in those rooms, as they don’t seem to be connecting the green rooms to each other. It’s likely a control room.
With that in mind, the huge indentation and cracks on the opposing wall could be something/someone thrown at the wall. The damage seems far too big to just be a kick or a punch, not to mention it’s placement is too low for a punch and somewhat high for a kick. And to be honest, I don’t think Monty would kick a wall instead of punching it, based on how he seems to use his upper body to ram into fences. Some of the cracks on that wall could just be from the sign getting ripped down, however there is still the unexplained impact sight. I think the sign getting pulled down was part of whoever got thrown against the wall getting caught on the sign.
So whether it’s Montgomery attacking another animatronic, or another animatronic attacking Monty, and getting dragged into the side room, I don’t know. However, it would be weird for another animatronic to enter Montgomery’s room willingly to confront him. Unless it’s early in the game and they don’t know how big of a threat he might be, and aren’t prepared to be attacked.
Anyways, that’s just my thoughts. The damage placement just seems very odd to me, it’s not a normal hole punched into the wall like you’d expect someone to do out of rage. I think there is a bigger story to this than just “Montgomery is Violent”.
