Playing Last Specter while knowing who Descole is for no reason other than the memes that pop up on my dash/reccommended from time to time is such a weird experience because I feel like I'm supposed to be like "woah who is this mystery man whose masked face is obscured by the candlelight and clever camera angles" but instead every time he's onscreen I've been going "OOOOOOO IT HIM THE SILLY GOOFY CAPE HAT MASK MAN 🫵🫵🫵🫵"
god im thinking abt this really hilarious quality that the layton games have where they really don’t feel that fantastical or strange when you play them (at least the first 4) but if you try to explain a game’s plot you sound fucking derranged
