there’s never been anything or anyone like steven.
steven’s struggle as a person between two worlds and a unique being causes him a lot of loneliness. here are some identity issues he didn’t have any frame of reference for and was left unintentionally alone with. and now he doesn’t know what he wants or how to even start finding out.
(i have this interpretation of the ending song lyrics as i know what they are as of “prickly pair” and it suits my needs. so don’t @ me.)

I’ve had a lot of people ask me about what the future holds for post-Inanimate Insanity… and the answer quite honestly is: I don’t know, but not likely more II. At the moment we are so preoccupied with just finishing Season 2 that we don’t have the time to even think what would happen afterward.
All that said, I’m sorry to once again reiterate that we are definitely not doing a Season 3. Our vision and story of Inanimate Insanity will end when it comes to the final episode of Season 2.
Does that mean II content is gone forever after that? I’m not sure, but I would hope not completely. I personally don’t want it to be just “a thing from the past”, and I’d be willing to bet others on the team would agree. I’ve put nearly half my life into this show! I’ll have a ton of relief in dusting off my hands when it’s done, but I don’t know if I would be able to completely turn away from it forever.
I can say for now that there are certain opportunities for us to work with after II concludes, but what they will be… I cannot say. (mostly because I don’t fully know!) We’ll all find out one day!
happy valentines (and sonic movie) day, heres a slightly altered john mulaney quote that i thought was fitting for phoenix
