tell me how u found ii/object shows here’s how i did
my mentally disabled brother watched it first!!! he always wears headphones so i didnt know what was happening when i’d peek at his screen so i thought it was some weird parody video or some strange shit but i did get curious so one time he went to the bathroom and left inanimate insanity epiosde 7 on so i got curious and put on headphones an i was like…. wow….. the audio isnt shit and the animation is aight….. interesting….. i think i remember the first character i heard talking being nickel looking into the camera like he was in The Office sayin ‘really’ anyway i caught the name of the video and watched more of it later and i rlly liked it so ye thats the story of how i found out whats yours do tell
I used to be super into angry birds, but YouTube kept giving me episode 3 (Tri Your Best). As a child, i thought that it was an adult cartoon so i tried to ignore it until eventually I gave up.
It all went nuts from there
i somehow found it from watching a crap ton of diy stuff. dont ask me how. it just linked to battle for dream island which i watched first and then i watched inanimate insanity when it was suggested after i watched bfdi. little did 10 year old me know, i’d be obsessed with ii in the future.
I was on tumblr and I was following dapper n zeal so I kept seeing posts about paintbrush n lightbulb.. and so I asked dapper in anon what was the show called. And then I started watching it.
and now im here drawing objects :)
i was bored one day going through you tube at the time i was listening to a lot of dr horrible so youtube recommended this video to me
i thought it was reflecting what happens in the show and thought there was some sort of love triangle in it for until trophy was eliminated i was also recommended this video after

i thought these videos were cool and looked for the original thing and thought these videos reflected what happens in season to i obviously was proven wrong and i still love the series but the reason i kept through the first season was mostly boredom and optimism
I followed a lot of dhmis turned ii blogs and I didn’t understand what they were talking about so I watched a few ii episodes, a few turned into the whole series and now I’m here

I then went back to it during summer and here I am!

A BFDI X MLP fan animation was recommended to me back during my days of being a “Pegasister”, ew. I watched a few seconds of it, but soon after, I was like, nah. After that, I kept seeing all these other object shows in my recommendations. I clicked on one, & it was pretty amateur in general. I can’t remember what it was called, but all I can remember was that there was a sucker character & the host was a neon-green gem. I thought to myself, “This is what all the hype is being based off of?”
Sometime after, I found the show that started it all; BFDI. But I accidentally watched Season 2 first, so you can imagine how confused I was when everyone was chasing after Leafy. During the middle of episode 5, I saw a bunch of previous videos & then realized, “oh shit, I’m on Season 2”. So I remember being outside after church, watching the first episode of BFDI.
After that, I started writing really cringy fanfics of me teleporting to Goiky where everyone was humanised, getting Leafy to be friends with everyone again & having gay sex with her. This was around the time I started using my empty shell of DeviantArt to explore object fanart. During all the while of being part of this, II 2 kept being recommended to me. I refused to watch because I could tell the overall quality would be a lot better & it was probably made by some big shot studio trying ride on the coat tails of BFDI. & for some reason, I thought it was made by British people.
I finally caved in & made the same mistake of watching Season 2 first. I watched a little bit of the (already finished) Livestream & I kept thinking, “look at these idiots, trying to have fun working as a group. Why can’t it just be a one-to-two-man show like BFDI?”. I thought these things. Because I was in denial that this was clearly the superior show not only because of the graphics, but how fun-loving and cooperative the II staff was.
I watched a couple more episodes or something before finally watching Season 1. The first two episodes were so cringy, I remember having to keep looking away & skipping over some parts. But it got a little better after time, but I was kinda shocked they used “hell” & “crap”. I knew about every curse word in the book, but I still found it surprising they’d use those words in a fandom that tried staying clean as much as possible. I wrote some more cringy fanfics (mainly of me & an OC that wasn’t even object-based dating Toilet).
Years later, I now have my own object OC (Milk Bottle) with a handful of great friends online. A few of which I often RP with, which was something I regularly dreamed of just a few years prior.
I had a friend on DeviantArt who loved Object Shows and I watched one of them myself.
I found it thanks to tumblr I wouldn’t have found it otherwise tbh
my friend appeared to me in my dreams and told me to watch it
I found Dottie, Zeal, and Yummycrummy.
I watched a few episodes of II and I saw Taco and went “THE DUMB ONES ARE FRICKING ADORABLE ALWAYS.” I kept watching and eventually I’m like “Taco can’t be that stupid.” And heck yeah I was right. I also shipped Payjay from almost the minute they started interacting because I love gay ships?!?! I remember watching the entire series in two days and screaming when both Taco came back and when Bow came back. Bow coming back honestly caused me to have to pause my video and step away from my tablet. Taco did make me really happy but it also made me angry a bit because “TACO YOU MADE HER SCREAM NOW MY EARS ARE BLEEDING-”
BFDI was when I kept seeing pictures of the characters and I had to know if it actually was the II Nickel. Also I thought Spongy was Cheesy for a bit but never mind that-
I was a fan of DHMIS, then I got a Tumblr, found some people who posted it and II, and because it was talking objects it made me curious, so I looked it up.
I actually remember watching BFDI when I was nine, and I loved it, but I forgot about it until this year. Murio was a fan off II and interested I checked out the series, and I loved it. I then forced my friends at school to watch it. Then one day my friend Billy was like, “Hey Casey have ya heard of BFDI?” I refused to rewatch it because I thought I would hate it? but I eventually did and it’s as good as I remember :3
