I don’t know if they uploaded the livestream, but a few nights ago I tuned into the GT live (I think it was The Joy of Creation part 4?) and matpat was just so emotional and he kept having little breakdowns which he then tried to laugh off, but it was pretty obvious that something was wrong, and he kept shouting out about being emotionally manipulated by people and such. I don’t know the full story, but a lot of it was bought on by people just making fun of him, and attacking him relentlessly. One of the main things that was getting to him was that people kept yelling at him that he doesn’t do research.
As far as I’m concerned, all that he’s done is make videos that people poked fun at, and his editors accidentally used stolen art in a video. Also something about making a reference to a FNAF fangame that was in good nature meaning to direct people to the game, that the creator of it thought was a rude mocking gesture and getting angry at him?
Either way, it was incredibly upsetting to watch matpat have these breakdowns and to watch him just keep … APOLOGISING. He was apologising for it throughout last night’s livestream (Hello Neighbor Alpha) as well.
