hi! petitions work for the government. petitions DO NOT work for websites. tumblr can easily IGNORE your petition and suffer NO REPERCUSSIONS. you know. because theyre not THE GOVERNMENT.

Maybe not, but it at least stands a chance of getting Tumblr’s attention.  The fact that its users hate its decisions enough to do something like this means that attention is being called to dissatisfaction with the website – which can hurt the company’s reputation.

Point is, there’s no guarantee that it’ll work, but it can’t hurt to try.
