ok but imagine:
phoenix and miles spending the day outside the city to investigate a case;
day has turned to night, everyone else has already left and the sky is dark and deep and sparkling
they just stand next to each other and watch the slow spinning of the stars and then out of nowhere phoenix just asks ‘if you could wish upon a star right now, what would you wish for?’
and after a few quiet seconds miles just answers ‘this.’
and phoenix takes miles’ hand and from that moment on they both just know
