Alignment System - Ace Attorney Characters (Lawyers)

Lawful Good (Apollo Justice) - acts as a good person is expected or required to act. Fights evil, seeks the truth and speaks out against injustice. Path: compassion and justice.

Neutral Good (Phoenix Wright) - does the best a good person can do. Devoted to helping others. In the event that doing the right thing requires the bending or breaking of rules, they do not suffer the same inner conflict that a lawful good character would. Path: devotion and altruism.

Chaotic Good (Athena Cykes) - acts according to their conscience, combining a passionate heart and a free spirit. Usually intends to do the right thing, but the methods are generally disorganized and often out of sync with the rest of society. Path: freedom and passion.

Lawful Neutral (Miles Edgeworth) - typically believes strongly in lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules, and tradition, and often follows a personal code. Path: order and organization.

True Neutral (Simon Blackquill) - does what judges to be the best for their personal interests. Does not hold for good or evil, acting with naturality without prejudice or compulsion. Path: instinct and balance.

Chaotic Neutral (Godot) - follows their own heart and generally shirks rules and traditions. Often considered individualist first and last. Avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. May be unpredictable, but their behavior is not totally random. Path: self-interest and liberty.

Lawful Evil (Manfred von Karma) - sees a well-ordered system as being easier to exploit and shows a combination of desirable and undesirable traits. Typically follows a code of conduct. Cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life. Very methodical, takes calculated actions. Path: frivolity and tradition.

Neutral Evil (Blaise Debeste) - does whatever it takes to get away with. There are no feelings towards crimes, regardless the motives or circumstances. Does not hold conflict for their actions or path. Most often, such villains are devoted to evil deities or secret societies. Path: selfishness and levity.

Chaotic Evil (Kristoph Gavin) - tends to have no respect for other people’s lives or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel. Does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. Path: destruction and cruelty.
