HELP MY BLACK GAY GIRLFRIEND ESCAPE HER ABUSIVE FAMILY AND TRUMP’S AMERICA

Hi I’m Sophia and my girlfriend couldn’t write up this post bc she was grounded for no reason when we had to write it. Anyway, a lot of my followers already know what my situation with my dad was like (for those who don’t know, he threw a glass at me, told me to kill myself and i almost did). Imagine that, but WORSE and there’s three of them. THREE abusers, not giving her room to think and get them out of her head. That’s my girlfriend’s situation.

Throughout her life, my girlfriend has endured things such as being punched repeatedly while her grandma sat there and watched (and then punished for daring to instinctively block the attacks) and having her hand hit so hard with a comb it permanently broke her finger and years later, it’s STILL bent out of shape

The worst and most recent thing that I will NEVER be able to unhear (unbeknownst to her mother, we were in a call) is when her mother forced her to let her watch her bathe, made degrading comments about her body, forced her to shave all her body hair and said “I hope you feel self-conscious.” This happened the same day my girlfriend’s step-dad told her mum to “teach her how to be a female.” And now it’s a regular thing. They are beating her butchness out of her, knowing fully well that she’s gay. She has actually told me they make her feel bad for loving me and it breaks my heart. What breaks my heart even more about that bath thing is that she didn’t kick up a fuss. She just… accepted it. She still doesn’t even fully see how fucked up it is because this kind of abuse is so normal to her. And yes, I hear disturbing shit like that all the time. That was just what most people agree is the worst.

But wait, there’s MORE.

Her family is an echo chamber of anger, violence and hate. She is deliberately given no room to think and they use this tactic a lot whenever they “have to” convince her to join the military. Probably to break her even more and make her one of them. They are hell bent on forcing a black, gay, somewhat butch-presenting, neurodivergent woman into joining the military while The Orange Man (whose huge following love guns and the military) is threatening to drop nukes on a country that has nukes on twitter. If she doesn’t become suicidal, this will kill her anyway.

And guess what? If we reported this to the authorities and the police got involved, that would put her entire family (which also has 3 prepubescent children in it) at risk because they’re black and american police are evil!

She needs to get out of there, but it’s going to cost a lot of money that she doesn’t have. Temporarily, she can move in with a friend but they still live in a different state, so we’ll need money for that at least. THAT’S a definite emergency. As for leaving America, she still needs to do that eventually bc America is a dystopian hellscape and no minority is safe there, plus I live in England and if we’re to live together, it will be much harder for me to move to America than it will be for her to move to England. And the fact that when I was researching how text get her here I realised she technically has a legitimate case for claiming asylum says a lot.
