lit up brain: dahla is a complex, nuanced character whose background helps to partially explain her development into a morally bankrupt adult but ultimately her actions are almost entirely without justification, and the way she used phoenix and her sister was undeniably cruel. there is nothing wrong with liking her as a character but to act as if all of her actions are justified is just flat-out incorrect. in particular her eternal insistence on destroying every other woman in her family (besides Morgan who’s also evil) solely to elevate herself and her own needs makes positioning her as a misunderstood feminist icon even more misguided
