“Ace Attorney” S2 anime announced for Fall 2018 !!

The official website for the television anime adaptation of CAPCOM’s Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban) games announced on Friday that the series will get a second season titled Gyakuten Saiban ~ Sono “Shinjitsu,” Igiari! ~ Season 2 (Ace Attorney ~To That “Truth,” Objection! ~ Season 2) this fall. The website revealed a visual featuring Godot.

Original game director Shu Takumi is collaborating on the anime. A-1 Pictures is again handling animation production, with returning staff members director Ayumu Watanabe, series writer Atsuhiro Tomioka, composer Kaoru Wada, and character designer and chief animation director Keiko Ōta. Yukiko Imai is serving as assistant director.

The returning cast includes:

Yuuki Kaji as Phoenix Wright/Ryūichi Naruhodō
Aoi Yūki as Maya Fey/Mayoi Ayasato
Masashi Tamaki as Miles Edgeworth/Reiji Mitsurugi
Chie Nakamura as Mia Fey/Chihiro Ayasato

Lauren Montgomery said in an interview once that the episode where Allura died in 80s Voltron traumatized her when she watched it as a child because she was a strong female character she could look up to, and then rebooted the show, made a Black Princess for little girls to look up to, and then up and killed her off, fully knowing it would be traumatizing to them. that’s not just carelessness on the writers’ part. that is downright purposefully violent and sadistic.

The boy who played Danny in “The Shining” had no idea he was filming for a horror movie. From Cracked:

Lloyd just thought they were making a movie about a family in a hotel. He wasn’t even really sure how much he was getting paid to be there. He was only ever shown severely edited footage that took out all the scary parts, which essentially means he thought he was filming the most boring snoozefest ever created, because without the iconic scenes of terror, The Shining is a movie about three people wandering around in cavernous, brooding silence.

Jack was slobberingly hacking his way through a bathroom door to murder Lloyd’s onscreen mother only moments prior.
