Can someone clarify what Anton did that classifies him as an actual legit villain

Honestly he’s the antagonist because he took the facade as a vampire to protect the wealth of his fam; his actions to Layton and Luke would be similar to what he would do to other victims before letting them go after they were properly frightened. However he didn’t let Layton and Luke go as easily because he was too high on gas to accept his granddaughter at the time and then attacked and endangered all of them
TL;DR he was the only one to physically threaten them and attack them being the only high vampire man dude
