Another thing I love about Coco is that the adults are adults

And talk about things that aren’t PG - Despite Hector censoring himself teens and up know what he’s talking about

They also argue



And get grumpy

And everything about them is just real. In some kids films adults end up being too stiff, or unemotional, or are just there to smile in the background and support. But all the adults in Coco feel like fully fleshed-out, human characters (pun intended). And as an adult who watches animated flicks with the primary audience intended as children, I love it
