The past two years have been an excellent example of the powers of the Executive Branch. How it can be the most powerful position and also the weakest. 

There should be local, state, and federal laws bolstering oil spill protections. All levels are vulnerable without them. An EO can protect the oceans, but without each level of government having laws of their own, once the EO is gone, so are all those protections. 

This is why every election matters. We’re seeing it with Sanctuary Cities. We’re seeing it with state reactions to the Net Neutrality Repeal.
