We had a batch of ball pythons hatch last week and the morph of this one had us stumped, and for good reason. They are a pearl, aka lethal white. It’s amazing that they developed and hatched at all let alone survived for this long. Pearls tend to have serious neurological defects and this little one does have difficulty orienting itself. We’re still going to try to feed them and see how they do since these guys are so rare and this one doesn’t seem to be suffering or in pain. Bonus twisty donut picture.

So I had this post open in a tab for a day trying to think of how to address this. I still don’t know how because I’m just entirely baffled by your attitude and disgusted by this entire situation, so I’m just jumping right in.

First of all, you were told A YEAR AGO that this pairing was a bad idea (although your past one had more genes, all the combo for this spider x enchi soul sucker were still possible in the past).

And considering you’ve been planning a similar pairing for at least a YEAR AND A HALF (not the same but still enchi soul sucker x spider):

You absolutely knew this pairing could produce LETHAL snakes (not only the previous clutch but doing it TWICE) and ones that could produce severe wobble. Spider x hgw has been known to be lethal for YEARS (x, x, x). I also find it highly suspicious that you act like you don’t know what wobble looks like or what you hatched:

But you clearly know what it is and enough about it to be able to make this statement as a reply:

It’s pretty clear based on your post above and below that you know this isn’t “pretty normal”:

Clearly you knew you had potential to produce lethals (”odds were against it for it to even hatch.”). People STILL TOLD YOU TO CULL IT

The fact that you not only bred this pairing purposely and knew lethals and wobble was a potential is extremely irresponsible. Decisions like this is not only harmful to the hobby, but absolutely disgusting from an ethical point of view. It’s abundantly clear that this wobble is extremely stressful.

The videos speak for themselves.

This pairing never should have been done after you were told not to, and the animal should have been IMMEDIATELY culled. It’s absolutely inhumane, irresponsible, and cruel to have let this go on for as long as it has.

Absolutely abhorrent and shameful.

That poor animal is suffering and it has already been cruel to try and keep it alive. End its suffering and do NOT do that pairing again if you have even an ounce of empathy in you.
