This one’s new.

“This post was flagged because somewhere in your reblog there might be adult content“

Somewhere in my–

SOMEWHERE?
In MY REBLOG?

image

@staff You flagged a WHOLE DAMN POST BECAUSE SOMEWHERE in my REBLOG - which was reblogged by, and is being reblogged by, literally anyone and anyone - there - wait for it - MIGHT be adult content?!??!

What does that–

Are you seriously–

Do you seriously not see the flaw here?

Are you saying, that one person - one VERY determined person - could go around and reblog ANY POST they like, and add f*male n*pples to it, and you would automatically flag that WHOLE post?

THE REBLOG DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY ADULT CONTENT. IT’S A COMIC. ABOUT A CARTOON. IT’S A–

so yeah just you all know. This bullshit right here? Not tolerable. Not at all. Suddenly content creators aren’t just responsible for the content they post, no, suddenly we are held accountable for content OTHER PEOPLE ATTACH TO IT, TOO! Which is literally impossible for any of us to control because we have no tools to do anything about it (and even if we had, I don’t want to feel responsible over what people do to my posts when reblogging. Ain’t nobody got time to take care of that bullshit, sorry. That’s YOUR job @staff, not mine.)

I 100% will not submit any more art to tumblr. Frankly I am done with this garbage website.

I’m gonna fill my instagram page soon, too.

This is another abhorrent example of how defunct this website is. Instead of taking the initiative to single out said reblog because it more than likely was a p*rn bot set to automatically go through a popular tag and randomly pull posts from there to reblog and then attach a link to its shitty p*rn site, instead Tumblr places the responsibility for us, the original posters, to have to sift through THOUSANDS of notes.

Granted, they’ve streamlined it so make it easier to actually seen when someone replies and reblogs with a comment (however, the only way to look at tags is either with a secondary function like Xkit or one of Tumblr’s forever is beta functions)

… But THEN what are we supposed to do? Report that specific post? To WHAT avail when this website has a crappy bot that CAN’T and NEVER WILL understand what looks suspiciously like p*rn and what is just a picture of a puppy. It can’t. Fuck you Tumblr for being so damn lazy you can’t even for one minute consider moderators that could just look with actual human eyes and see whether the content is real or NOT.

Tumblr has been choking out content creators more and more as they try to come with hackjob attempts to get rid of the p*rn bots without ever having to so much as actually look at them with their own eyes. They already took away the ability to make a post searchable when you include a non-tumblr affiliated links. Even when I tried to complicatedly bypass the system, my posts STILL did not show up in a publicly searched tag.

Now they’ve banned p*rn all together, which wasn’t going to and still hasn’t stopped the p*rn bots. And especially since they didn’t really actually ban the p*rn, they just flag that stuff.

But then you’re gonna tell me so long as you add #sfw to a post, it automatically is cleared? That sounds great for those who do create SFW content, but do you not realize how easily abusable that is by a robot told to add a list of tags to anything it reblogs/posts?

There’s no winning with this website. Everyone just loses. Glad the app has like bad ratings, it’s what it deserves.
