Haha so yeah, Season 1 really didn’t have any concrete sizes. It didn’t have anything correct, for that matter. Continuity was constantly broken since we didn’t quite care back then, so you’ll see Baseball looking smaller than Knife or the same size as Nickel, but he really shouldn’t be that way. It wasn’t until the end of S1 and beginning of S2 that we finally laid down some size charts and kept a rule of who was bigger/smaller than who.
Baseball, I believe, was always kind of meant to be a big and strong character, but with an introverted demeanor. He was effectively one of those big shy guys who had a lot of energy but really didn’t know how to talk to people. S2 was a grand reintroduction for Baseball, who got the short end of the stick (or should I say bat) in S1, and was reduced to “that guy who was eliminated and just reads or something.”
Baseball’s big size is another attribute to who he is - a strong domineering force at first glance, yet has a bit of a bashful and timid personality. His role in becoming a leader greatly helped Baseball gain more confidence and become much more of the intimidating force that he is today.
