(This ones gonna be orange cuz why not.)

There have been many great moments voicing my orange dude. Despite his voice having no changes from my own, I enjoy challenging myself on how far I can go with my normal voice. I like to see what boundaries I can reach with him. I did this way more in S2 when I had a bit more confidence in my voicing, whereas in S1 I was really scared to break away from the normal sounding “hey guys I’m OJ” stuff and stayed by the book.

I’ve enjoyed being able to make OJ be expressive since there are more opportunities for him to be angry, sad, stressed or overjoyed. In S1 he seemed more reserved, which he is on the surface, but it’s fun to gather more emotion and fuel it into big scenarios.

“Everything’s A-OJ” was a great opportunity for this, and I’d mark it as my favorite episode to voice OJ. You can probably notice he’s much more expressive than usual, especially when he becomes the host and basically thinks to himself “I’ve won this thing before, how hard can hosting be?” and just ends up ruining everything. I particularly enjoyed the back and forth between OJ and Tissues - the cough OJ makes after he’s sneezed on was actually from an outtake I did, but it fit so perfectly. I was also able to sing which was very fun and much much easier than it was for Paintbrush and especially Bow.

Also, even tho “I did it, I won Inanimate Insanity” is now a meme™, I still remember recording it and feeling excited and proud that I got to say those words and no one else can so HA.

And if you loved that, next up is Dough
