i love and appreciate salt so much, just how close of a friend is she to pepper? it seems like pepper is more attached to salt these days, but in season one they seemed to be about equal in terms of "BCFFs" and i just wonder if salt is still as enthusiastic as pepper seems to be about their friendship!

You’re very perceptive, anon. I’m glad you like Salt! Despite being terrible, she’s a gas to write and animate - especially in Episode 12. Anyways, she and Pepper have been friends since the start - but how close can friends really get when they’re exactly alike? That’s the killer to their friendship. 

Since Salt and Pepper are identical, anything that’s remotely different about them makes them causes a rift in their friendship. Salt is a bit more open to doing what she wants instead of being bound by her friendship, while Pepper is much more dependent and fixated on their friendship and being alike. So I wouldn’t say they’re as on equal terms about being “BCFFs” as they used to be, but they still are!

Ladies and gentlemen, Salt– and what’s this?! Pepper!!!
