jean descole is distinctly more violent in eternal diva than he is in any game he appears in. this is possibly because of two reasons:

a) the writers weren’t actually committing to his “no innocents hurt directly” policy and thus conveniently forgot this when luke got to have his moment of badassery.

b) he was not nearly as composed during the whole thing as he made himself out to be, due to the parallels between his backstory and oswald whistler’s. i mean, there has to be SOME reason des took pity on him, agreed to “help” him, and ‘we both know what it’s like to lose a child’ seems like a good fit.
