Some of y’all are really wondering why new artists aren’t improving and it really shows y’all slept through the ‘cringey oc’ cringe compilation era.
Good art critique is:
- Given with permission
- Specific, not ‘oh the face is wrong’ whats wrong, the anatomy, shading? explain
- Include tips that help artists improve, like a video or another persons tutorial
- Praise what they did do good, point out what they did good!
- Has the intention for the artist to improve, not just criticizing everything they did wrong
- Made with understand that the critic isn’t a perfect artist either. Nobody is perfect and artists should be aiming to help each other improve
There’s not even half of these anymore, you can’t act like we’re out of the bad art critique when people are criticizing just to be critical.
