I'm not sure if someone asked yet, but why did you have Lightbulb be a team leader again?

Since the writing of S2E1 was several years ago, I cannot fully remember our thought process on Lightbulb’s second leader position. But - I do think we were thinking along the lines of reintroducing Lightbulb as a new person since she is vastly different from how she acted in S1. As a “leader” in S1, Lightbulb wasn’t at all interesting or remotely impactful all the way up to her wrongful elimination. When she was brought back for a few more episode we got a couple nice scenes with her until, oh no, eliminated again. Some of Lightbulb’s greatest moments in S1 were actually after she was properly eliminated, like Ep 14, which - although is an absolute mess of an episode - had some of Lightbulb’s best and funniest lines IMO.

With her reintroduction in S2, we had a bit more of a grasp on how to make Lightbulb a compelling character. Her voice actor had blossomed into a downright comedic mastermind too which provided her with some of the best one-liners I’ve heard. Now back in the shoes of a leader, Lightbulb could throw her team in any direction in any way she wanted, and it was always a blast.
