#172.5 - Despite their small size, Pichu are charged with enough electricity to shock an adult human; however, they are inept at storing and retaining electricity, and often startle themselves by discharging power accidentally. These electric mice are social Pokemon, and flourish in large groups of its kind, or with a deep bond with its trainer. As they age, they get better control over their electricity, and use their larger tail to help ground themselves and prevent shocks. Pichu will also begin to develop cheek pouches, which they use to store extra electricity.

#025.5 - Pikachu live in forests away from people, where they gather in groups and form a tight community. They use their stored electricity in several different ways, such as roasting hard berries, recharging a weakened fellow Pikachu, and as a warning to threats that get too close. Not all Pikachu evolve, but those who do often seek out thunderstorms with their tail raised, attempting to get struck by lightning. The additional electricity helps them grow, though too much may cause some aggressive behavior until the extra has been discharged. Trainers can simulate this by frequently exposing their Pikachu to a Thunderstone.

#025.5A - Pikachu can be found in the Alolan wilds, and like several over Pokemon species native to another region, have an altered evolution due to their time there. Alolan Pikachu have quite the sweet tooth, and often sneak into urban areas to steal sweets and pancakes. If a Pikachu is charged with enough excess Electricity, it will trigger their evolution; though they will develop a new Psychic typing, believed to be due to their new diet. After watching Alolan natives surfing on ocean waves, these Pikachu practice their budding psychic power by gathering it into their tails so they ‘surf’ on them as well!
