some of my favorite parts of herobrine lore is like… the really odd inexplicable creepy stuff that can happen in ur world

like x- or y-coordinates that just won’t grow crops no matter what

x- or y-coordinates that immediately grow crops no matter what

nether portals that are extinguished when you get to them even though you’re sure you lit them

burnt out redstone torches

caves that have a torch but still won’t light up

like i know none of these are intrinsically herobrine but when you put them together under that umbrella they seem really strange

little-flower-forest

Random crafted blocks placed in the world, sheared sheep meandering around when you haven’t made shears yet, chests spawning without any loot…

canofgaycubes

dead-ends of caves that are perfectly square

finding a flower at the end of a cave and immediately feeling like it’s meant for someone (but you don’t know if that someone is you)

cave tunnels that slope up for several blocks, and instead of sloping naturally they look like a uniform, man-made staircase

mobs that attack you without you ever even seeing them, let alone aggro-ing them (endermen, wolves, etc)

and the reverse of that, aggressive mobs that just. won’t attack you no matter what you to do them

parrots that keep making noises of monsters nearby that aren’t nearby, such as making an enderdragon snarl in the overworld

hearing cave noises when you’re above-ground, in a well-lit area, and you’ve checked in spectator mode and there’s no caves anywhere near you

world generation that doesn’t feel generated

This being the number i got when I liked the post

and of course the classics of it herobrine spoopiness!

  • a forest where all the trees leaves are perfectly sheared, leaving a barren forest where the sky seems a little bit darker than usual, despite it being nowhere near night.
  • coming across a mountain that has a 3 by 3 hole going all the way through it, coming out the other end. you go in, thinking that maybe it’s a weirdly generated cave or mineshaft, only to walk through it and come out the other end of the mountain. you ride the 3 by 3 hole off as a weird glitch. a mineshaft that got messed up while you generated it.
  • all of a sudden, you come across… a strip mine through a mountain, coming out the other end of the mountain just like the other. you’re disturbed because you’ve been to this area. your house isn’t to far away, and you’ve been around here. you’ve generated this part of your world. you know you’ve didn’t do this, and yet there it is. a perfectly straight strip mine, leaving a perfect path to get from one end of the mountain to the other. you decide to relocate your house. you’re not that far along in the building process, this place just isn’t the right place for you, yeah?
  • random blocks of your house or build are gone. not griefed, not ruined, but just a simple block or two gone. maybe you don’t even notice it at first, but looking at your build, there’s something off about it that you can put your finger on. taking a closer look, you find blocks missing. blocks you were sure you places, like a hole in the wall of your home or the fence of your garden broke through. it couldn’t be a creeper, and it definitely wasn’t you. you don’t remember doing this. maybe you should get away for a little bit and go on an adventure. you don’t want to be here right now.
  • areas where there’s way too much fog. you’re traveling with your wolves on your horse, riding through a clear plains biome when all of a sudden, there’s so much fog that you can barley see two blocks in front of you. odd. you go into your settings, checking to see if maybe your fog is a little too high, only to see that your fog setting is extremely low. you decide to turn it off. going back into your game, the fogs still as dense. you back up to get out of the creepily foggy area only for it to disappear. it doesn’t come back either. maybe it was just a glitch.
  • you start a new world. you don’t delete the one you were just in and… you don’t know why. hovering over the ‘delete’ button for the world gives you a feeling in the pit of your stomach you can’t describe. so, you leave it, and generate a new world.
  • you spawn in a forest where the trees have no leaves.

i took a couple of liberties when writing, but i hope you enjoyed these! hope this was an ok addition @oakdoor (o´▽`o) !!
