One of my favorite parts about the end of the Steven Universe movie is how Spinel stayed in the form she took after learning she’d been abandoned. I get there’s the thing about a gem having to poof before taking on a new look but I really think her staying that way is a good message that even if things seemed good before, things don’t have to be how they used to in order to be good again.
