The thing I like best about Apollo is that he’s actually as straight-laced as Edgeworth tries to present himself as being. Strip away the outer layers of snootiness and Edgeworth’s a geek who doesn’t quite understand how normal people work. Apollo just… really likes following the rules, and paperwork, and being loud. And he’ll stop being loud if that’s breaking the rules. He’s that guy standing on the sidelines going, “Am I the only sane person here?!?” And the answer is almost always, “Yes, you are.” It’s hilarious and I love it.

This both opens up blood donation to msm in exclusive relationships or who don’t have anal sex and more accurately identifies hiv risk from people who aren’t msm. This is exactly the sort of guidelines we’ve been fighting for for years. This is a major win for both gay rights and blood donation in the US. Now a bunch of people who couldn’t donate before can donate now.
