For the folks in my neck of fandom: this is a film directed by Michael Rianda, with a screenplay written by Jeff Rowe.
Michael Rianda was heavily involved as a creative director (and Alex Hirsch’s partner in crime), writer, and voice actor in Gravity Falls’ first season. (Also, the model for The Love God in s2!) Jeff Rowe worked on Gravity Falls season two (he was a writer on: Scary-Oke, Northwest Mansion Mystery, Not What He Seems, and Weirdmageddon pt 2 and 3, among others).
