A word, please, fandom.
None of the PL characters have a confirmed canon sexuality. There’s nothing in the games or the canon material that states Randall is bi, that Descole is gay or that Layton is straight. Akihiro Hino hasn’t descended from on high to ban my Laywright fic.
It's not homophobic to ship Descole with a woman, unless you actively go out of your way to shit on gay ships/headcanons. It’s not ‘ignoring canon’ if you ship Descole with a man.
It isn’t biphobic to ship Randall with a woman. It isn’t biphobic to portray Randall as gay. Yes, Randall and Angela have a relationship when they’re teens. Yes, a lot of fans portray Henry, Hershel or Descole as having feelings for Randall, and Randall reciprocating those feelings. You can enjoy both.
It’s isn’t bad if you ship Layton with anyone other than Claire. I know, the FEELS of Unwound Future will forever haunt players and Layton as a character. If you don’t think he’ll ever find love again, that’s cool. If you’ve made a self-insert OC to ship him with, then that’s cool too. (I wish I was that brave.)
But y’all have to stop acting like your SHIPS AND HEADCANONS ARE CANON and that fans are ATTACKING YOUR SHIPS if they make content you dont like.
Also, consider making some asexual, aromantic and trans character content while you’re at it.
