Okay okay I am seeing some false information floating around in the dgs/tgaa tags so I’m just going to clear a few things up regarding ancestry of characters.
There are only two characters in the duology who are confirmed to be ancestors of mainline characters. Those are Ryunosuke Naruhodo, the protagonist, who is the ancestor of Phoenix Wright; and Taketsuchi Auchi, the tutorial prosecutor, who is naturally the ancestor of the Paynes. Aside from that, no other characters that appear in the duology are confirmed ancestors of mainline characters. There are a few lines that mention who the von Karma ancestor could be, but it is not anyone who actually appears in game. (Not going into detail bc of spoilers).
Just saying this since I’ve seen a few posts talking about Asogi or van Zieks or whoever being the Edgeworth or von Karma ancestor or whatever; I’m not saying it’s completely impossible for any character to be any character’s ancestor because there are a few generations in between where things could have been mixed up. It’s just not confirmed.
