i just think the lack of personal space phoenix & maya have in every piece of media they're in is so funny. at any given moment in time maya is clinging onto his arm like a squeaky toy and jumping in his face and phoenix is hovering over her shoulder to see whatever she's reading and letting her nap on him and there is simply no way they don't poke each other in the sides to be annoying and ruffle each other's hair at every given opportunity and there is no way maya doesn't jump on phoenix's back 24/7 demanding a piggyback ride and phoenix grumbles about it nonstop but always gives in anyway
like they are getting into shenanigans and situations and they are all up in each other's business and they are best friends. do you see
