With their new privacy policy, which will be effective after the 27th March, Discord will record/store your video calls, voice calls/channels, including your screen shares. They have removed We generally do not store the contents of video or voice calls or channels. and We also don’t store streaming content when you share your screen out of their privacy policy which is/was effective from March 28, 2022 to March 26, 2023."

Discord says it's still not recording your voice chats or livestreams

An upcoming policy change at Discord sparked some concern over privacy.

based on the statement discord made to pc gamer and my own reading of their legal stuff it seems like the policy needed to be changed for two new features that haven't been introduced yet: voice messages and stream clips, which they would have to store for some period of time in order for the features to work

this is a good time to mention, though: discord isn't a platform suitable for sensitive information so if you're participating in voice calls or streaming something that could compromise you in some way, use a more secure platform please

The article says that the guidelines have been updated. Instead of asking if you’re a man that’s had sex with another man in the past 3 months it asks everyone regardless of gender if they’ve had anal sex with a new partner or if they’ve had anal sex with multiple partners in the past 3 months.

This both opens up blood donation to msm in exclusive relationships or who don’t have anal sex and more accurately identifies hiv risk from people who aren’t msm. This is exactly the sort of guidelines we’ve been fighting for for years. This is a major win for both gay rights and blood donation in the US. Now a bunch of people who couldn’t donate before can donate now.
