based on the statement discord made to pc gamer and my own reading of their legal stuff it seems like the policy needed to be changed for two new features that haven't been introduced yet: voice messages and stream clips, which they would have to store for some period of time in order for the features to work

this is a good time to mention, though: discord isn't a platform suitable for sensitive information so if you're participating in voice calls or streaming something that could compromise you in some way, use a more secure platform please
