it is so funny to me that during emmy's introduction in last spectre, she's in the car before she introduces herself. and the car is visibly moving. additionally, remember that emmy's scooter is tied to the laytonmobile's roof. this means that the sequence of events are:
- layton gets out of his car after emmy swerves in front of him. "see here, what was that about?"
- "nice to see you again, professor layton!"
- "and you are?"
- they load the scooter onto the roof in presumably dead fucking silence. emmy gets into the passenger seat. layton continues driving towards misthallery
- "why, didn't dean delmona tell you? i'm emmy altava, your new assistant!"
