Do you think Layton taught Luke how to sword fight, just in case he's in danger and the professor isn't around to help?

& I think he’d try! If not just to keep him safe, then to share one of his interests with him. I know there’s a throw away line in game where Layton asks if Luke has ever considered taking up fencing (too cute! can’t remember where for the life of me right now tho)
Now I don’t know if Luke is very good at it, but he certainly gives it his best shot! I think he’ll find in the end taking up karate comes much more naturally, BUT he’s got the fencing fundamentals down and I’m sure it comes in handy
