ii Sexuality Vent Post
Ok, I know I’m gonna get so much backlash about this, but, i have been keeping this in for a while and I hope you guys don’t mind me talking about it.
So, the ii characters above, in my headcanon, are straight. Now, I support gay and trans rights absolutely 100%, but there has been something I noticed on tumblr, and I know this probably won’t change, but I wanted to say it. Is it bad for cartoon characters to be straight nowadays? Like, I know, gay rights, of course, I support it, like, so much. But there are those people that are just born straight, like me. And sometimes, being straight can be looked down upon on tumblr. Like if I made an oc straight instead of pan for example, people would get mad at each other. Being, “Oh, you don’t support LGBT rights! People like you are awful!” Like, they are forcing my oc’s to be pan. And this hasn’t happened to me, but I have heard about people get criticized because of what they preferred. This kinda goes for inanimate insanity. Personally, I feel that not all the characters are going to be gay. And I’m scared people are gonna get the wrong idea when I think that way. Some people force the character to be shipped with the same sex when they were straight. I know we’re talking about inanimate insanity, but septiplier is a good example of this. It was a ship between jackcepticeye and markiplier. And they felt really uncomfortable that they’re fans were shipping them when they were straight with girlfriends too. Like, you can’t really force someone to change who they love. You can’t force a gay man to love girls. And you can’t force a straight girl to love her same sex. I really really hope you guys understand where I’m going here. I support LGBT rights for inanimate insanity, of course. But please don’t get mad at me for my own headcanon of sexuality for the characters. Thanks for reading.
